New Years Resolution

I can't believe that 2008 is already so close to being over! I swear it just started. We obviously have been unbelievably busy, and that's why it has gone by so fast. We had our ups and downs, but it's been an amazing year because we have been through it all together. We have tried many new things this year. Syd and Dom both started there first years of softball and teeball. Sydney is still on the fence about whether or not it's something she would like to continue to do, but Dominic has found his talent! That boy has an arm on him like you would not believe, and who better to teach him then his own dad who also loves baseball. Tasia's new big milestone this year has been being potty trained! It helps so much to not have to buy diapers as much (she still wears a diaper at night). Anthony and I have loved watching our kids grow and change this year, and can't wait to see all the things they have coming in their lives. This year we have also figured out who is truly there for us, and who are people that are better off just being acquaintances. Thank you to all of you who have been there during our times of need even if it was just to sit and listen when we needed it! You are all truly amazing!

So tonight I was sitting here trying to think of what my New Years Resolutions could be, and this is what I came up with....

1. Lose weight...I don't think I know anyone who doesn't have this on their list as a New Years Resolution. I know it has been on mine pretty much since I had Syd!

2. Be more patient! Now I'm not one of those people who flies off the handle at things, but I can become frustrated with things more often than I want to so I plan to work on that to better myself.

3. Not worry so much about my house, and spend more time creating memories with my kids. I read on a friends blog how she wishes she would get down and play with her kids more instead of telling them wait until I'm done with the dishes or other such tasks. It got me thinking, and I want to do the same. I am obsessive compulsive, so it definitely won't be an easy task but my kids won't stay little for long so for now I am going to play Ants in the Pants and Chutes and Ladders and let the dishes or mopping or whatever else needs to be done until my kids are in bed or while they are at school.

4. Let go of a little control. Again I am obsessive compulsive, so things have to be just the way I like them in pretty much every aspect of my life or it drives me crazy and in some cases even gives me anxiety, so I am going to take baby steps and learn to let loose a little more and not expect everything to be perfect in "my" way!

....well there you go. That's my little list for now, and I may come up with a few more but I think those are a pretty good start. I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe new year. I would love to hear what some of your resolutions are also :)

Christmas! (Long post!)

My family and I had a great Christmas this year! Christmas Eve was full of baking. We made the cake for Jesus, baked cookies for Santa and I made a ham dinner for my family. We went to my parents at 8, and opened Christmas pjs! Everyone got some really cute stuff. The kids changed at my mom's, so that as soon as they got home they could brush teeth and go straight to bed so Santa could come. Then, of course, all the work starts for mom and dad! I had to get a breakfast casserole put together that sits overnight. Anth and I had to wrap presents, because we hadn't wrapped a single one yet. Halfway through wrapping Anthony decided he was going to get the kitchen cleaned for me. We finally went to bed about 12:30 or 1.

At about 5:30 the next morning my mom sent a text and said she was on her way to our house to watch the kids open gifts. She had told us that she was coming when my dad left for work, but neither of us really believed her until Christmas Eve when she was still insisting that she'd be knocking on our door VERY early! When she got here we went and woke the kids up, and they were so excited they could hardly stand it. Sydney and Dominic both got a Nintendo DS, and that was their absolute favorite gift! Tasia got a 8 piece doll set that has a playpen, carseat, stroller, high chair, swing and more. She seemed to think that the playpen was for her to lay in, because that's where she spent half the morning. After gifts we did breakfast and orange julius'. We usually do those at my parents, but since my dad was on days we did it here. My mom went home around 9:30, and the kids starting getting tired. Eventually we all ended up napping, because we never would have made it the rest of the day without. We had dinner at my parents at 6:30. Some of you know that I made my dad a scrapbook of my grandma (the 19 year anniversary of her death was December 23rd), and I also made one for my aunt so my cousins could give it to her. Well my aunt got hers first, and my cousin said she took one look at the first page and started bawling! Hearing that made me nervous to give it to my dad. I know that guys are tougher and not as big of criers as us women, but still it was an emotional gift! My dad did good though. He loved it! He told my mom later that he had to choke back tears when he looked through it. I was completely stressed out while I was making it, and my house went a little neglected but knowing that it meant that much to him made it all worthwhile!

Today Anthony and I got a wild hair around 2, and we decided we were going to drive into Salt Lake to spend our gift cards. Yes the snow was horrible on 201, and seriously where were the snow plows?!?!?! Aren't they suppose to be on standby for storms, because it didn't look like they had even been plowed since the storm last night! We went to Jordan Landing, because lucky for us all the stores we needed are there. So we spent our gift cards, finally found the kids snowsuits and boots after looking at 5 different stores and now we are home and the kids are all tucked into bed! I just hope they sleep in tomorrow, because I am exhausted after the last few busy days we've had!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

I am getting ready for a busy couple of days as I'm sure the rest of you are! Tomorrow I have to clean the house, so that my mom can come over Christmas morning to eat breakfast and watch our kids open presents from Santa. Then we have to bake cookies to put out for Santa. We also have to bake a cake for Jesus. Yes I said for Jesus! My mom started a tradition with my kids a few years ago to remind them that Christmas isn't just about Santa it's also about celebrating Jesus's birthday. So every year on Christmas Eve we bake a cake, let the kids help decorate it and then we sing happy birthday and the kids blow out the candles. It's a simple, but fun way to remind the kids what the holiday is really about. Not to mention the fact that the kids look forward to it every year!

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!

Lessons in life by Regina Brett

My friend posted this on myspace, and I thought it was really good so I thought I would post it here for everyone to read. Thanks Joanna!

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.
8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.
12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don't worry; God never blinks.
16. Life is too short for long pity parties. Get busy living, or get busy dying.
17. You can get through anything if you stay put in today.
18. A writer writes. If you want to be a writer, write.
19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26.Frame every so-called disaster with these words:'In five years, will this matter?'
27. Success is having what you want…….Happiness is wanting what you have.
28. Forgive everyone, everything.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give time, time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
33. Believe in miracles.
34 God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.
35. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.
36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood. Make it memorable.
38. Read the Psalms. They cover every human emotion.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
41. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
42. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
43. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
44. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
45. The best is yet to come.
46. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
47. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
48. If you don't ask, you don't get.
49. Yield.
50. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

'May the Lord's face radiate with joy because of you'Numbers 6:24

Blast from the past!!!

I joined facebook a month or 2 ago, and I have recently found a lot of my old friends from North Ogden and I love it! When I moved 12 years ago we all swore we would keep in touch, but as you all know life is busy and it's hard to stay in touch with people. Thank goodness for facebook and myspace, or I would probably have gone the rest of my life just wondering what everyone has been up to!

Keeping my fingers crossed and saying my prayers!

After Anthony was laid off he started working for a company called Ravage construction, but was continuing to look for a job with a more stable company. He got a call last week to schedule an interview with Kennecott, and we are both so happy! He left about an hour ago, and was super nervous but I know he will do well. The guy who helped him get the interview said that it will take a week or so to find out whether or not he gets the job, and I am sure that we will both be on edge until we know for sure. However, the guy also told him that they do the background check, job check and references before they even call you so they must be interested. Apparently the hardest part is to even get called for an interview. I am trying to think really positive about him getting the job, because it would help us out so much and it'd be a place where he could build a career and not worry about being laid off every winter like with construction.

Poor guy!

As I said in my previous post we had our Busico family Christmas party this past weekend (Saturday). Since it was such a late night we decided to be lazy on Sunday. My family and I went to my sister's house to watch football (in our sweats) and BBQ hamburgers for lunch. We came home around 4, and all my kids were relaxing watching a movie while Anth made pizzas for dinner and they all 3 fell asleep. We woke them up to come and eat, and apparently Dom didn't get quite enough of a nap, because the poor guy fell asleep at the kitchen table! Sydney was laughing at him, and I had to get a picture. Guess that's what happens when you're used to being in bed at 8 every night and you stay up WAY past that!

Busico family Christmas party

This past weekend we had our annual Busico family Christmas party! These parties are always interesting, and anyone who has ever been to them knows what I mean. This year we decided we had outgrown everones houses, so we had it at the Senior Citizens Center. Of course we started the party by eating lots of yummy food (lasagna, meatballs, Italian sausage, salads, rolls, sweets and more). Then it was time to play games! The kids played a game where you seperate them in 2 teams, put vaseline on their face and they have to run up one at a time and stick their face in a bowl of cotton balls. It makes it look like they have a beard like santa. Then whoever has the most cotton balls at the end wins! It's pretty funny to watch, and I feel for them because I could never stand to have the vaseline on my face! Then they played musical chairs. We seperated into 2 groups for that too, because we didn't want the little kids to get plowed over by the bigger kids. Then it was the adults turn to play musical chairs! That was hiliarious!!! In the end that one came down to my dad and Matt, and they both got a butt cheek on the chair so they called it a tie and each of them got a gift from the bag. Then of course what would a Christmas party be without SANTA! The kids each got a turn to sit on his lap, and at the end they got a stocking full of gifts and a candy cane. They all loved it! After that everyone got to open the gifts that they got from whoever drew their names. Everyone got lots of fun stuff! It was time to clean up and leave the senior center, but nobody was ready to be done with our fun night so we all went to Matt and Michele's house to continue hanging out. Everyone got a little wild over there, but we had lots of fun and I can't wait for our party next year!!!

Thanksgiving!!!

We had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving this year. We spent most of the day relaxing at home. We had to be to Aunt Tammy's about 230 for our first dinner. It was nice to just hang out with everyone. Then we went to my parents house for our 2nd dinner. I didn't eat much at Aunt Tammy's so I could save room to eat over there! The boys watched football while my mom and I looked through some old family photos. It was a box from my grandpa's house that had pics from when my dad was born. It was really neat to see them all. It started getting late by this time, and since our kids are in bed at 8 every night they were starting to get tired and cranky so we headed home. We thought we were going to get home and be able to just go to sleep, but Tasia wasn't having it! She didn't sleep most of the night! She was up crying every hour or 2. She must have been having a hard time breathing, because she was congested. Our nice relaxing Thanksgiving ended with Anthony and I being completely exhausted, and we laid around and did a lot of nothing on Friday. Hope everyone had a good day with their families!

I'm thankful for....

I decided to follow in my friends footsteps and take them time to list a few of the things I am thankful for. With Thanksgiving being this Thursday it's the perfect time to be able to reflect on those things...

1. I am thankful for my husband! He is an amazing man! He takes such good care of me and our kids, and he works so hard everyday to provide all the things we need. He has changed so much in the last 2 and a half years, and it has all been for the better. I couldn't imagine my life without him!

2. I'm thankful for my kids! They are the cutest little stinkers in the world, and they bring me so much joy. They know just how to put a smile on my face, and they are all such big helpers. I love to watch all the new things they learn on a daily basis. Their eyes light up when they have something new to show me or tell me about. They have made my life so much better than I ever could have imagined!

3. I'm thankful for family! Anthony and I have the most supportive family I know. They are there for us when we need them. We love to hang out with all of them! Most of the time when we hang out and do anything it's with family. Some of our most memorable moments are with our families, and I wouldn't change that for the world!

4. I am thankful for our friends! We don't see them all very much, but we always know we can count on them to be there for us. Most of our friends are people we have known for a long time, so they feel like they are a part of our family.

...there are many other things that I am thankful for such as a roof over our heads, food to feed our family, nice clothes to keep us warm, a nice car to get from place to place. Those are all materialistic things though, and I felt that the real focus of this blog should be the people who mean the most to us because you can lose material things but true family and friends will always be there for you. I want to say thank you to all the amazing people in my life. Every last one of you means the world to me, and I hope none of you ever forget it. Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

YAY!!!

For those of you who don't know Anthony was laid off from his job 2 weeks ago, and obviously this is not the time of year I would wish that on anyone. We have put him in for literally 17 different jobs since the day he was laid off, and finally it paid off!!! He is starting a new job tomorrow, and lucky for us it isn't going to require that he takes any sort of pay cut. I am so relieved! It feels like a major weight has been lifted off our shoulders. Thanks to all of you who said prayers for us. It definitely paid off!

Considering going private....

We are considering making our blog private, so those of you who want to still be able to read it please let us know. I will send invites to everyone that I want to be able to read it also. Thanks everyone :)

Tis the season....

....for sickness :( My kids have all been cranky and congested the last 3 days, and of course I caught the bug yesterday. We have had a miserable household this weekend, but I had to expect it. A lot of people I know are sick. I was even suppose to go to one of my best friends baby shower yesterday, but unfortunately I woke up congested, coughing and achy. I feel bad (sorry Chas!), but I didn't want to get anyone else sick especially her since there isn't much you can't take when you are pregnant. Hope everyone had a better weekend then us.

P.S. My friend Joanna's husband, Andy, was in a car accident this past weekend. He broke his femur and had to have surgery to put a metal rod in from his hip to his knee. He's in quite a bit of pain, and him and their family could use everyones prayers. Thanks :)

Happy 84th Birthday Grandpa Tony!!!

Sunday night some of our family went out to eat for my grandpa Tony's 84th birthday. We went to Texas Roadhouse, and it was so YUMMY! A guy at the table next to us was making balloon animals for the kids. It was very nice of him. My girls each got a balloon on a stick (that's what he called it), and Von got a pirate sword and a parrot (that's all the kids that came). It was nice to get together. My grandpa isn't getting any younger, and I truly cherish moments such as these :)

Tasia wasn't sure what to think about Matt sitting next to her, so she had that look most of the night.

"Daddy did it!"

As you all know we have been working with Tasia on potty training. Not a fun task, but it has to be done. Well today while she was in her panties in her room she had an accident. Sydney was in there with her and she yelled to tell me what had happened so I could get Tasia and the mess both cleaned up. When she was in the middle of yelling "MOM TASIA PEED ON OUR CARPET!!!" Tasia chimed in "NO I DIDN'T! DADDY DID IT!!!" I laughed so hard! Obviously Anth isn't in peeing on my girls floor, but apparently Tasia has picked up on the same "blame game" that Sydney and Dominic play when they are getting tattled on.

My new favorite quote!

I have found a new favorite quote by Marilyn Monroe that I think is good to live by...

"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius. And it is better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring. And when it comes down to it, I let them think what they want. If they care enough to bother with what I do then I am already better than them..."

Halloween!!!

Ok so Halloween is pretty much my favorite holiday, so I made sure we had lots of fun! We got the kids Halloween shirts to wear to school since they can't wear their costumes. Syd and Dom had parties at school, and at home Anth and I had Tasia and the 2 kids I'm tending now so we had some fun with them. We watched Halloween cartoon movies, made jack-o-lanterns and baked cookies. Once Syd was home from school we got the kids ready. Syd was Hannah Montana, Dom was Darth Vader and Tasia was Boo (from Monsters Inc.). We took them to trick-or-treat on Main Street and got their pictures taken. Then we headed over to my parents, and Anth stayed with my dad at the house and my mom and I took the kids around their neighborhood for a bit. Then it was off to Aunt Tammy's house. When we got their Tasia had enough, so she stayed behind with Anth and I took the kids around her neighborhood with Anth's cousins and their kids. By the end of the night we were exhausted, but it was lots of fun. Well worth it!!!

Just the way I wanted it to be....

This past weekend turned out to be exactly what I wanted it to be! On Friday we did I usual running errands, and then we spent the rest of the evening watching movies. Then Saturday morning we got up and got the kid all dressed up in their costumes (again still haven't gotten my camera cord from my mom, so I will have to put up pics later). Then we were off to the Halloween carnival. It was PACKED! They had games everywhere for the kids, hot dogs to eat and cookies to decorate. I am a little sad though, because when we went to get the kids pictures taken their printer was having issues and they weren't sure how long it would be before it was fixed, so we didn't get to do pictures there. After the carnival we came home to relax for a few, and then it was pumpkin carving time! Yet again Syd picked the hardest pattern in the book, so Anthony did it. Once he was done with that though he was DONE! He had enough, so I was left with 3 pumpkins to carve. My parents came over to visit while we carved pumpkins, and we all watched Hulk (Tasia's new favorite phrase is "HULK SMASH!"). On Sunday we spent the day watching movies and relaxing too. We are huge movie buffs LOL All in all I think it was the perfect weekend, and I can't wait to go out trick-or-treating with the kids on Friday.

Today I started watching my friend's nieces while her sister goes to school, and I must say the thought of 5 kids (ages 8, 5, almost 3, 2 and almost 2) scared me a little. Out of those 5 kids 4 of them are girls, and I'm sure you all know how girls can be....like I said a little scary! However, I am pleasantly surprised. Tasia loves having other girls her age to play with, and these girls not only do really well with entertaining themselves but in the last 5 hours I have only had to break up 1 fight. Amazing huh! Also I must say that the bond between these 2 girls is phenomonal! I've seen a sisterly bond before, but nothing like the 2 of them. It is so sweet to watch. They take care of each other, and play with each other better than I have seen any kids play together. Now I don't have false hope that everyday will be perfect, because even the best behaved kids have their bad days but I do have to say that if they are like this and have bad days once in a while the bad days will be much easier to deal with.

Looking forward to a fun weekend!

Last weekend Anth, myself, my mom and our kids went to the Pankratz Pumpkin Patch (I will post pics when I get my camera cord back from my mom). We got 2 big pumpkins, and I decided that wasn't enough so when we stopped by Walmart later that day I bought 2 more. I wanted to carve them right away, but Anth was able to convince me to wait because we didn't want them to rot before Halloween. SO...our plan is to carve them this weekend!!! I can't wait. I love having that time as a family! As gross as it feels we have some good times and good talks while digging up to our elbows in pumpkin gunk LOL Last year I had the genius idea to do the patterns. We let the kids each pick one, and we carve the one they pick for them (last year Sydney picked the hardest pattern in the book, so I let Anth do that one LOL). I swore that this year we weren't going to do patterns, because they were kind of a pain in the neck but apparently I forgot how big of a pain they were because I bought more patterns for us to do this year. After we carve our pumpkins we roast the seeds, and will probably just sit down and watch a movie together and eat seeds. Saturday afternoon we will be going to the Halloween carnival at the Complex. The kids are all excited to wear their coscumes (that's what Tasia calls costumes), and be able to play games and eat treats! Sounds like the perfect weekend to me :) I wish it would hurry up and get here!

Why do nice people always get hurt???

I consider myself a nice person. I'm not fake, I'm not judgemental and I truly do care about other peoples feelings! Well being nice seems to get me nowhere. All it has done lately is get me taken advantage of and got my feelings hurt pretty bad. Maybe I need to learn to have "thicker skin" and not be so nice. It seems like people like that don't get hurt nearly as often, because they know how to blow people off when they are being mean. They also know how to tell people NO, so that people don't take advantage of them all the time. For everyone out there who is nice like me I hope this works out better for you than it does for me, and for everyone who knows how to have that "thicker skin" and not let people get to them I could use a few pointers!

Hair Blogs!

Those of you with little girls know that no matter how hard you try to think it isn't always easy to come up with different hairdo's for your girls hair. I personally don't like doing the same styles all the time, but a lot of times I am at a loss for what to do. WELL...I have found the perfect solution LOL I found one blog page called HAIR TODAY where a lady does her daughters hair and tells you step-by-step how to do it. From her page I found more and more blog pages that consist of the same thing. Some of them have giveaways that they do on their pages for bows and stuff too. Some of you may have already heard of these, but I hadn't and I must say I am pretty excited!!! I have already tried a few new hairstyles on my girls, and they have been super easy and super cute! For those of you haven't found them yet, or just want to look at the ones I have found so far they are on the right side of my page (you can't miss them!).

Just venting!!!

So there is this girl who literally used to stalk my husband when we first got together. They had dated a couple of years before, and she had never given up on him. She would find him no matter where he went, and he always knew what was going on in his life no matter how long it had been since he had talked to her. She was seriously creepy!!! He tried to tell her to leave him alone, but she never let it go. Well we haven't heard anything from her in 3 years or so, and the other day he got a friend request on myspace from some girl and in the message box it said "You don't know me, but my cousin _______ said to tell you what's up!" Now I am not one of those girls that is like don't look at or talk to my husband, but when the chick has literally stalked him it's a little irritating that even after so long she figures out some way to find him (even if it is to say what's up). Sorry I just had to vent a little, because some girls just don't get it!

"I didn't do anything mom!"

Have you ever been enjoying some peace and quiet while you thought your toddler was taking a nap only to find out they weren't really napping??? Well the other day I was sitting in my living room thinking Tasia was asleep. I had laid her down, put on her movie, checked on her even and never heard another sound. The next thing I know she is standing in front of me with my mascara in her hand, and all I can do is laugh and ask her what she did. Her response of course was "I didn't do anything mom!" Sorry kiddo the evidence was ALL OVER your face!

Back to the REAL world

The last 10 days I have been more or less lost in the 4 books that make up the Twilight series, and now it is time to get back to the REAL world! Not much has been going on. Anth and I decided that this past weekend we were going to do absolutely nothing. We have had so much going on over the last couple of months that we haven't had one weekend where there isn't at least something we had to do. It was so nice to just relax this weekend though! We rented movies and just hung out at home. I'd say it was peaceful, but with 3 kids in the house we all know that isn't possible.

We finally found some bunkbeds for our girls, and I am so excited to get Tasia into Syd's room. Anth and I haven't had any privacy since she was born, and it'll be nice to have our room to ourselves. Anyway...the bunkbeds we got were dark blue, and my girls don't have anything dark blue so I have decided to paint them white. While I am at it I got a wild hair and figured I would paint their dresser and nightstand too, so that they can all match and look really nice. Anth and I are going to get them some new bedding too. I know a lot to deal with, but once it's all done it will be VERY worth it! Wish me luck :)

Twilight!

I have heard people left and right talking about this new Twilight series! I've been contemplating on whether or not to read it, and yesterday while I was doing my weekly errands at Walmart I was standing in front of the shelves looking at them and some lady walks by and tells me "You won't regret it!" So I thought what the hell I will do it (it's only $8 after all, and if I don't like the 1st one I don't have to get the rest)! I finished the first book in 1 DAY! I couldn't believe it. I was addicted from the first chapter. Needless to say I am now one of those crazy obsessed people on the Twilight bandwagon, and I am going to Walmart today to buy the other 3 books so I can read them this week!

New job!!!

I am super excited, because I started a work-from-home job today! The best part is that it is basically my own business. I get to work as little or as much as I want. Plus some of our basic expenses are now considered a tax write off for us! Anyway...I am just doing training, and I already can't wait to get out there and start bringing in some extra money for my family :) If any of you are interested in working from home let me know, and I will gladly give you info about the business I just started (maybe it'll be good for you too!). Have a great weekend everyone!

My mom and I took the kids to the Utah State Fair yesterday, and we had a blast! We started out by taking them to see the Veggie Tails concert. Dom complained that he hated Veggie Tails, but by the time we were done he was more excited than Syd and Tasia. Tasia paid more attention at that concert than I have ever seen her pay attention to anything! Afterwards we ate, and let Syd and Dom go on the huge slide thing they had. We went on the merry go round next. Tasia loved it! Everytime we went past my mom she said "Hi grandma! I ridin the horsey!" It was hilarious! Syd and Dom were pretending to be a real cowboy and cowgirl. They are goofy sometimes! Last but definitely not least (it was already 8 o' clock by then and starting to rain) we went to a little hands exhibit that taught the kids what it's like to work on a farm. It was the neatest little exhibit! First they started out by getting a little pail and an apron for them to wear. Then they went over into a different little barn where they gathered corn (each area gave little facts along with the activity). Once they gathered their corn you took it to feed the cow, and after you fed the cow you milked it (it was water shooting out of the fake utters). Once you did that you went to the apple orchard and picked an apple to put in your pail. Then you picked a seed (they had different options). When you had your seed you took it to the garden to plant it and water it. The next section was the garden, but the vegetables were already all grown, so the kids got to pick the vegetable they planted. Then it was off to the "hay field". The kids all got to jump in their little tractors, so they could haul their tiny bales of hay. After that they went and groomed some sheep, and gathered eggs from the chickens. In the end they took a picture in a little cardboard cutout that made them look like FFA members, and as they handed in their stuff they gathered they were paid a dollar to go buy something from their little grocery store. It was a very creative and educational exhibit, and the kids loved it!

StArVaTiOn 2008......

Over Labor Day weekend my little family of 5 went camping with my parents, my sisters and their families at Starvation! My parents brought their waverunners up for everyone to play, and I was excited because Anth has never been on waverunners but I knew he was going to love it! I was right of course. He had a blast! We spent all day Saturday at the beach. I got sunburned, but it was so much fun it was worth it. I can't wait to go again. This was our first camping trip since I was about 9 months pregnant with Tasia, so it was long overdue. Enjoy the pictures!

Gotta have smores when you go camping!

My 2 oldest and my wild nephew Gabe. Dom was splashing him, and he had no clue!
Yes that is my goofy daughter, but I love her!

It was a long day in the sun for Tasia :(

My little copycat LOL

Tasia loves camping!

They couldn't wait to get out on the water!

I love him!

Dom's in Kindergarten!

My son started kindergarten this morning, and yes I was a crybaby! He, of course, didn't even care. I drove them to the bus stop, and he didn't even say goodbye to me. I had to meet the bus at the school (not because I am one of those crazy mom's, but because the teacher's asked us to for the first day). When he got off the bus he took off with his friends, and he didn't even want to give me a kiss. Needless to say my baby boy is going to be perfectly fine, but I am still a little bummed! Here are a few pictures for everyone...

Spiderman backpack!

I had to get a picture of Dom with his sisters for his first day!
