Excited!!!

One of my best friends (most of you probably know her...Chasity Wooley aka Chasity Strieby) had her baby this week. She's suppose to come home today, and I want to go see her SO bad, but I will be a nice and considerate person and let her get settled in before I go bug her. I would have gone into the hospital, but I tend her nieces and can't just take off whenever I want. Then by the time they leave for the night, after chasing 5 kids all day, I am in no condition to drive into SLC! So needless to say I have had to wait until she came home. She is the cutest little baby! She's a little chunk! I am the lucky person who is going to get to tend her when Chas goes back to work, and I am so excited I can't wait! 6 weeks, and I will get to hold that precious little baby 5 days a week! Maybe she'll help curb my baby hunger, or maybe she'll make it worse! Who knows. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Anyways...congrats Chas and Dillon! You have a gorgeous baby girl, and I am honored that you guys trust me to be the one to watch her while you guys go to work everyday. She'll definitely be in good hands!!!

Birthday parties and refusing to sleep!

We had a lot of fun doing Dominic's 2 little birthday parties. The day of his birthday he took treats to school for his class, and his teacher gave him a birthday crown and 6 pennies (one for each year he is). That night we had his requested mac and cheese for dinner, and my parents came over to see him open presents and we ate those lovely green hulk cupcakes. They actually didn't turn out as messy as I thought they would, so that was a plus. Then on Saturday we had family over for cake and ice cream. We usually do our kids parties at my parents house, because they have more room than we do but this year we went ahead and did it at our house. Uncle James and Aunt Michelle got him a light up Hulk mask that goes with his big Hulk smash hands that Grandma Quintana got him for Christmas. He loves it! My sister got him a cool boxing ring thing. It has 4 fighter guys in it, and you fight each other until only one is left standing. She said she figured it was a good way for the boys (Dom and Gabe) to be able to play fight without taking it out on each other like they usually do. Good idea Steph!!! All in all it was fun, and he got lots of stuff that he loved. Including more games for his Nintendo DS. Even my mom got into playing them LOL

On another completely different note. We have been having a hard time getting Tasia to go to bed at night, and I am lacking some much needed sleep because of it. She seems to think that when we put her to bed she needs to get up and play in her room. Last night I went to check on her, and she had gotten a hold of Syds markers and was coloring on my walls! Sometimes she's not doing anything, but she just won't go to sleep. She's even going so far as to get up and turn on the light in their room, so we are constantly having to go in and turn it off. We fight with her sometimes for 3 or 4 hours after she has been put to bed! We thought maybe she was napping too long, so I have tried not laying her down for a nap during the day. If we do that though she is exhausted right before dinner and we have to fight to keep her awake. Then she's so tired and doesn't want to eat. I have even tried giving her a bath to help relax her right before bed, but that didn't help either. We aren't sure what the deal is, but it's exhausting and since her and Syd share a room she is keeping her up to so Syd isn't getting the sleep she needs. Hopefully we can figure it out soon, so we don't all lose our minds. If anyone has any suggestions it'd be greatly appreciated!!!

FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I learned you can make free and cute headers for your blog at scrapblog.com (Thanks Ali!!!). I was planning on heading to bed, but I got so caught up on trying to make a new header for our blog that I couldn't pull myself away from my computer. Well...I have this cute little header, and can't figure out how to get it to post! I figured you just go to header, erase your current imagine and paste the code in the "from the web" spot, but that didn't work! I have tried many other ways, and for some reason still can't figure it out. Maybe I am an idiot. Maybe my brain is not fully functioning at the moment since it is 1 AM and I am running on very little sleep as it is. I'm not sure what the problem is, but I could really use someones help who does know how to do this. Obviously I don't expect any answers tonight, because unlike me the rest of you are probably smart enough to be in bed. So I am forcing myself to pull away from the computer now, I am leaving my header blank of any pictures at the moment and hoping that by the time I get back on here tomorrow maybe someone who knows what they are doing can give me a few tips! Thanks for reading this as I have ranted and raved, and thanks to any of you who happen to help me out so I can get my cute, simple and personalized header put on here!

I'm addicted.....

....to Mario Kart LOL Dominic got some new games for his DS for his birthday, and after he went to bed last night Anth and I stayed up playing some of them. I have officially discovered that I am addicted to Mario Kart! I have always liked the driving type games (even though I am not much for video games), so I thought it would be a fun one to play for a bit. I couldn't put the stupid thing down!!! I played for like an hour or 2, and have played it again for a while today. I was suppose to be cleaning my house, but instead my nose was stuck in Dominic's Nintendo DS. I found that the closer the race was and the more intense it got the closer I'd move the DS to my face. I probably looked like an idiot with the thing right up to my face, but I was having fun and haven't played video games like that in forever. There are definitely worse things I could be addicted to though that's for sure!

Happy Birthday Bubba!!!

I can't believe my little man is 6 years old today! Wow time flies when you're having fun! I told him last night that he was going to be old. He laughed his little goofy laugh and told me "Uh uh mom I'm only going to be 6!" On our kids birthdays I always tell them they can pick whatever they want for dinner, and I will make it for them. Of all the things in the world my son picks mac and cheese. Plain old Kraft mac and cheese! Oh well, it's his birthday. Since his birthday falls on a weekday we will do his big party Saturday with all our family. Tonight we will do his birthday dinner, his gifts from us and I got some nice green Hulk cupcakes at the store. That will be fun to clean up!!! It's worth it, because it will make him happy :)
I just really can't believe it has been so long! Dominic has blessed my life is so many ways, and I can't imagine what it would be like without him. He is my little mama's boy! He has a sensitive little heart, and his smile lights up the room! I can't wait to see the things he will accomplish as he grows older. He has an amazing imagination, and I truly believe he will put it to good use. Happy Birthday Buddy!!!
I also want to say a quick Happy Birthday to my friend's son Luke! Bethany and I were working at Teleperformance together (I know I don't miss that place one bit!), and she was pregnant. I remember it was Dominic's first birthday, and I'm sitting at my desk and my boss hands me her phone. I kept thinking "who could it be we aren't allowed to get personal calls???" It was my dear, sweet Bethany telling me she had given birth to her son on my little man's birthday and it was the coolest coincidence. I will never forget that phone call or that day! So I hope you guys have a good day for Luke's birthday today, Bethany!

Hey everyone!

My phone broke tonight, and I am really not happy about it. I am trying to get a new one from my cousin until we can buy one with taxes. What luck huh! Anyway...the purpose of this is to let any of you know that since it's the screen that broke unfortunately I can't get everyones numbers off of it, so I need everybody to send me their numbers. I'm sure most of you don't want to post them on here for the world to read, so you can email them to me at abusico2@hotmail.com. Hope everyones having a good night!

If it's not one thing it's another!!!

I swear we are never going to all be 100% healthy around here! At least that's how it feels at the moment. Over the last 3 weeks or so we have all had a stomach virus. Nothing horrible, but still not exactly fun. Then Tasia got congested and her voice sounded really raspy. Then as she gets over that Syd starts having a sore throat and is achy. Luckily it only last a few days for her, and she was better. A day or 2 later Anth ended up achy and his throat hurt. Again it was gone for him in a day or so. We all just start feeling a little better. I scrubbed our house partly for inspection by our property owners, and partly to help get rid of the germs. Well wouldn't you know today Syd wakes up and says her stomach is bubbling and she has been having diarrhea all night. I know lovely share of information, but it's true. I decided to keep her home from school, because I don't want her to keep leaving class to go to the bathroom. She has laid in bed most of the day, and at lunch time I decided to make her chicken noodle soup so she would have something in her stomach. She sits down at the table and says "mom I need to go potty". Obviously I tell her to go, and she can eat when she is done. Well she comes out and says I feel like I'm going to throw up. Again I tell her then go to the bathroom (don't do it on my floor when any minute now the owners could show up for inspection. No I'm not insensitive, and I'm sure they'd understand but still nobody wants to clean puke out of carpets anyway!). She, of course, ended up throwing up. She couldn't eat her soup, so it went to waste. I called the girls mom that I tend and let her know (I let her know this morning too before she brought them that Syd was sick, because I would want my sitter to tell me something like that.), but unfortunately she has 2 appoinments this afternoon and I told her I don't want her to get in trouble with school so don't leave early. Things are hectic though...I am chasing 3 toddlers (they are all napping at the moment), cleaning up nonstop right behind them for inspection and taking care of a daughter who can't stop puking. One of these days I may get to relax again, but it doesn't look like it'll be anytime in the near future!

Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

These last 4 days or so Anthony and I have been doing nothing but cleaning. We have an inspection either tomorrow or Thursday, and I decided it would be a good time to do some "spring cleaning". We have cleaned our house from top to bottom I swear! We have shampooed carpets, cleaned blinds, cleaned out closets, cleaned the garage...you name it we have done it! I always go a little crazy at inspection time, because I want things to look perfect and even though I stress and worry we always end up with compliments on how well we keep things clean and orderly around here. I'm a worrier, so even remembering those comments doesn't make me relax any. In a day or 2 this whole thing will be done and over with, my house will be perfectly spotless (other than everyday pick up cleaning) and I can relax again. My life will be back to it's normal chaos without the added chaos of inspection time!

I was reading Hayley's blog, and she had mentioned that since she got her live feed on her page she has looked at it and always wondered who it is that happens to be looking at her posts. I have found myself wondering the same thing, and I agree with her if you stop by leave a comment! I don't care who you are. I would just love to know who is reading up on my fun family adventures. I would love to reconnect with friends from the past. I don't care if you don't think I will remember you or not I would still love to hear from everyone. I know a lot of mom's out there who "blogstalk" like I like to sometimes to read up about people who I knew from school back in the day, and it would be nice to hear from some of you once in a while! Shoot even if I didn't know you I'm always up for meeting new people :)

I'm a slacker!

Anthony and I have been married for a year and half now. As soon as I got our marriage license back I went and changed my last name on everything besides my social security number. It just seemed like there was never time to go sit in the social security office! It takes forever, and I try not to go to Salt Lake unless I absolutely have to. Plus I don't usually have anyone to watch the kids during the day. Well I have an appointment on Monday that I need my social security card for, and of course I can't find it ANYWHERE! I tore my house apart, my car and my purses. It's nowhere to be found. I told my mom that maybe it was a sign I should go into Salt Lake and sit there for hours and finally legally change my last name. So I got up and moving and left bright and early to get there a few minutes before they opened to try to keep myself from waiting too long. I pull into the parking garage 15 minutes early, and wait until 5 minutes to 9 to head to the door. When I get there I find out I am at the wrong building! Things were going way to smoothly, so I knew something had to go wrong. Luckily the new building is just up the road, but I walk in the door at 5 after and it's already packed! I ended up sitting there for almost 2 hours while some creepy old guy next to me reads my text messages over my shoulder just so I can go back and be there for less than 5 minutes. Oh well...in the end it's all worth it, because I am now legally a Quintana and I don't have to go through the whole spill with places anymore about how my ID has my married name but I haven't changed it with social security yet so with that it's still Busico.

All mom's know how I feel!

I swear before I had kids I was able to shower, bath or even go to the bathroom by myself but in the last 8 1/2 years I don't think I have been allowed! Take today for example, I am in soaking in a hot bath (I have had body aches), and I was in there less than a half an hour total and my kids all 3 came in at one point or another for some reason that could not wait. Tasia came in to show me she had put on her brother's Hulk boxer briefs, and then she wanted to use the cup and rinse my hair for me. Anth made her get out, and then Sydney came in because she needed to tattle on Dominic. Heaven forbid she tell the other parent who just so happened to be sitting in the living room watching football and doing nothing! As Sydney's standing there with the door open Tasia sneaks back in and wants to rinse my hair again! THEN...Dominic comes in and says he needs to fill up his cup of water-THERE ARE 2 OTHER SINKS IN OUR HOUSE!!! Anthony comes in AGAIN, and forces them all to get out. By this time I had given up on the thought of even a minute of relaxing and decided to get out. That is just from bathtime today! Things are obviously slightly crazy around here from day to day, but stuff like this is a normal occurence. Like I said though, I'm sure all you mom's know exactly what I mean. We don't get any privacy once our kids are born. I love my kids, but some days would love to be able to take a quiet shower or bath or even be able to go pee without someone pounding on the door needing me right that very second!!!

Our family

As most of you probably know we would like to add to our family sometime soon. Now obviously we have to wait until Anth gets a job (the company he was with went under, but we are still praying for Kennecott and will know one way or another on that soon). If Anth gets a job at Kennecott or somewhere else just as stable I'm sure we will catch up bills with taxes and start trying soon! The reason I even bring this up is because a lot of people have told me lately "it's time for another one". Of course there are a few who tell us we are nuts to even want anymore, but I don't think so. My older sister used to say we were nuts, but the other day she told me she feels like we have one more baby meant to come to us and I feel the same way! It's interesting though, because my whole life I only wanted 2 kids (1 girl and 1 boy). Tasia was a surprise, and since we had her I have always felt we are meant to have 1 more. I have been baby hungry for a long time already, but I just know deep down the time hasn't been right yet but when it is and as soon as we find out we are expecting we will be so happy to let the whole world know it!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Last night we had a fun, but low key New Years Eve. We had originally planned to stay home, but we had a little change of plans. We started by going to my parents house to eat a yummy but simple dinner. My mom made a ham, and we did ham sandwichs on rolls and chips and dip. Then we went to my grandpa's house, because he is determined that if it doesn't get done NOW my parents won't get his digital converter set up by February. It was very easy to do, and really he probably could've figured it out himself (anyone who can hook up a DVD player or VCR could do it), but we got it done for him and now he will be happy. Finally we headed over to my Aunt Patty's house. My cousin Monica and her family is out here from Alabama, and we haven't seen her since I was pregnant with Tasia! We sat around the kitchen table and talked and ate munchies. The kids ran around and played with Nintendo DS's and other toys. The girls were dancing to a fun little karaoke machine, and told us we couldn't take pictures (we tried anyway!). At midnight we watched the ball drop and all told each other Happy New Year, and headed out to do some fireworks with the kids. It was freezing, but it was fun and the kids loved it! We didn't stay long after that, because the kids were getting tired but all in all it was a fun, nice way to start the new year. I have lots of pics, but I will have to post them later, because I left the camera in the car and it is WAY too cold to go out and get it right now! Hope everyone else had a fun, memorable and safe new year too :)
