Dom's in Kindergarten!

My son started kindergarten this morning, and yes I was a crybaby! He, of course, didn't even care. I drove them to the bus stop, and he didn't even say goodbye to me. I had to meet the bus at the school (not because I am one of those crazy mom's, but because the teacher's asked us to for the first day). When he got off the bus he took off with his friends, and he didn't even want to give me a kiss. Needless to say my baby boy is going to be perfectly fine, but I am still a little bummed! Here are a few pictures for everyone...

Spiderman backpack!

I had to get a picture of Dom with his sisters for his first day!

Tomorrow's the big day!

We went to "kindergarten tea" today. It's just a fancy way of saying you get to meet your teacher LOL We started out talking to the principal about the school year, and the whole time Dom kept saying "I want to go meet my teacher". Then after about 10 or 15 minutes we broke off into the seperate classes, so each teacher could talk to her students and parents about how their classroom works. When we got in there the teacher told the parents to find a seat and the students to come sit on the rug. My eager child who couldn't wait to get in there all of a sudden got super nervous!!! He would not go sit by the other kids. It makes me a little worried about how tomorrow is going to pan out, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Towards the end of the "tea" Dom noticed though that there were 2 kids from his preschool class and 1 from his baseball team in there, so maybe that will help. Stay tuned for pictures of his first day tomorrow...

P.S. Don't mind his bald head! Anth messed up cutting his hair, so we had to shave it all off. I am less than happy about it, but his hair grows quick luckily!

Sydney started 3rd grade!

Sydney loved her first day of 3rd grade! Even though she woke up the night before crying, because she said she didn't want to go because she would miss me. She has such a tender heart! She got home yesterday, and I swear she didn't stop talking for a half an hour. It was cute though, and I heard the same story 2 more times while she told my mom over the phone and then my husband when he got home from work. I didn't get a picture of her yesterday morning, because I couldn't find the camera (I found it 2 hours after she left). I tried to get a picture with my cellphone, but for some reason it wouldn't let me send it to my email even though it usually does. I took these pictures today (her 2nd day) though to try and make up for it. I didn't pay attention and the flash wasn't on, so they are a little dark. It's been one of those weeks!

Have to have the Hannah Montana backpack!

We survived!

We went to Dom's testing, and we survived!!! When we got there they had me fill out some papers, and one of the teachers came out to get him. He was a little nervous going back by himself, but he still went anyway. He came back out about a half an hour later, and he told me "Mom that was SO easy!" He seemed a little disappointed that they didn't give him more of a challenge. I decided while we were there we would go try and meet Syd's teacher. She is a new teacher to the school, and Syd is a little nervous since she doesn't know her. We walked up and down every single hall (some more than once), but we couldn't find her anywhere. We eventually gave in and asked the office where her classroom was. Turns out she is in the portables. Syd's school is only a few years old, and they already had to put in 3 portables 2 of which are new just this year. Stansbury is growing way too fast! Anyway...we walked out to the portables, and tried to find her. The sign had said she was in portable 3, but of course that would have made things easy! When we got there a 6th grade teacher was in there, and she luckily had a map so she could tell us where Syd's teacher actually was. After all that time we finally got to the portable, and her teacher wasn't even in her class! Poor Syd was upset, but I guess she will just have to wait until the 1st day to meet her. At least she knows where to find her now though :)

School starts in a few days!

Is anyone else as excited as I am for school to start?!?!?! I might actually get my stuff done without having to deal with the whole neighborhood coming in and out of our house, so they can go out back and jump on the tramp. They always seem to come in right after I have mopped my floors, so I end up with little footprints all over.

I know I said this before, but Dominic has his testing for kindergarten tomorrow. This should go just fine, because he is smart as can be. The only thing I am dreading is that I couldn't find anyone to keep my girls while we go, so they will be coming with us. Syd obviously is old enough that she should be fine, but I am a little worried about Tasia being cooperative. I don't have much of a choice though, so I guess we will just see how it goes. Dom won't actually start school until the 26th, so I have a little more time before I become a nervous wreck!

Sydney starts school on Thursday. My baby girl is going in 3rd grade, and I am just not ready for it. It seems like I just had her, but here we are. We got her some really cute outfits, and got her hair cut into a "sassy" A-line (gotta love how my sister explains things to her LOL). She is ready to go. She has even been so nice as to let Dominic know that he can sit with her on the bus for his first day, but after that he has to find his own friends to sit with. Such a nice big sister huh! She is more and more like me everyday, and most days that scares me! I wasn't the easiest child to deal with (sorry mom). I know they say you get paid back for everything you ever do to your parents, but I have already hadmy fair share of payback and I still have lots of years ahead of me.

I will be posting pictures of my cute children on their first days as soon as I have them!

Work from home oppurtunites.....

I am trying to look for job oppurtunities to be able to work from home, so if anyone knows of anything I would love to hear about it.

Potty training time!!!

Since Tasia just turned 2 this past month I decided we need to start potty training. I am sick of buying diapers and changing them for that matter. Sydney was potty trained long before now. I have worked with Tasia on it a little, but I decided to really step up the game. I have put her in nothing but panties for the last 2 days. Yesterday was a little frustrating, but I know it's a learning process. We had accidents all day except for right before bed. Anth and I made sure to make a very big deal out of her going on the potty. She put a sticker on her potty chart, and she got a little treat (very little treat since it was bedtime LOL). Then we had her call my mom, so that grandma could make a big deal about her going potty too. Today we have had a little more progress. I need to go buy more panties for her, because we only have one pack so I am constantly washing panties. It's exciting, but sad. My baby is growing up so fast!

Actually all 3 of my kids are growing up! We went to the school today to find out who Syd's 3rd grade teacher is. She'll start school on the 21st. Dom has kindergarten testing next week, and he will start school on the 26th. I'm sure I am going to bawl my eyes out! Now my baby is about to be potty trained. Life moves so fast! I'm glad I get to be home with them, so I can be here every step of the way :)

Finally a night to ourselves!

Last night my mom took the kids overnight for us for the first time in 3 months! It was so nice. Don't get me wrong I love my kids with all my heart and soul, and I love being with them but all of you mom's (especially those of us who stay home 24/7 and never get breaks) know that it's nice to get away sometimes! Last night was seriously perfect though. No we didn't go out to some fancy restraunt, and we didn't go out to a party or a club or even drink for that matter. We dropped the kids off around 5, and just went to La Frontera for dinner. Good, but cheap. Then we stopped by Aunt Tammy's house for a minute to visit. We left there and were home by 830 or 9. We turned on a movie, and just relaxed! We didn't have to go anywhere, we didn't have to break up any fights between the kids, or tuck Tasia in 20 times...we just did NOTHING! It was perfect!!! We went to bed when we felt like it completely uninterrupted. We slept without having anyone come tell us they needed to potty or get a drink. We just slept. Those of you who are parents of any age of kids no exactly how I feel, and why all of this is such a big deal. We ended up sleeping until 11 or so, but just laid there and watched some show until like noon. My mom brought the kids home around 1, so we had to get up and shower. Having an uninterrupted shower was nice too. I usually have someone coming in tattling on the other one, or asking for something that for some reason could not possibly wait 2 more minutes until I am out of the shower. I guess this was our way of making up for not being able to go out for our anniversary. Hopefully it won't be another 3 months before we can do it again, because it was exactly what I needed!

Fun weekend!

We went to the demolition derby this past weekend, and we had a blast. The kids love it! Tasia was like a little cheerleader. She kept putting her hands in the air and yelling WOOHOO! Syd would watch it and was very focused. Dom is very much a boy and thinks it's hilarious when the cars crash. Here are a few pictures for everyone to enjoy....

My baby boy is growing up :(

K I am having real issues the last couple of days, because my son (my middle child and major mamas boy) is growing up. Yesterday in the mail I got the paper to tell us when his kindergarten testing is, and when we will meet his teacher. I knew it was coming, but I am still sad that my son is at that stage. He's going to be gone more often, and I can't keep him right here with me anymore :( Then today he went with a friend to McDonald's to have a lunch/playdate, and when he came home he asked if he could sleepover at that friends. He has had sleepovers at family members houses, but this will be his first sleepover at a friends house. It's right across the street from my house, but I am just not quite ready for my baby boy to be so grown up and not need me as much!
