Fun, fun, fun

Life is nonstop as usual! Last Saturday my mom kept the kids overnight, so that Anth and I could do something for his birthday. We didn't do much, but it was nice to have the time alone! Sunday morning his Aunt's boyfriend took us to breakfast at Demitri's. Then we just came home and had a relaxing day! We BBQed that night, and afterwards went to my parents to visit my dad for Father's Day. Nothing much has happened during the week except for Syd's softball party and Anth's ball game on Wednesday.

When Dom went to bed last night he said his eye hurt and it was bright red. I thought it was just from being in the sun all day, so I told him to go to bed and rest it and it'd be better this morning. YA RIGHT! He woke up and it was completely sealed shut from goobers and it's swollen, so I am pretty sure he has pink eye but I can't take him in until the after hours clinic tonight. Exciting huh! On top of that I have to clean my whole house for my purse party tomorrow, work, tend and do laundry. It's going to be a busy day for me!

Happy Birthday Hubby!

I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my sweet, sexy hubby! I love this man more than I could ever explain. He is an amazing husband and father to our kids. I couldn't ask for anything more than the amazing life I have with him! I hope he knows how much I love and appreciate him. Happy Birthday Baby! I hope you have a great day :)

I love this picture of him! He's such a goofball. This was at our wedding. I was signing our marriage license, so he held my bouquet for me and my cousin made sure to get a picture of him.

A little bit of an update...

Heidi is still in ICU. The dr's chose to deliver her baby early yesterday. She only had just over a month left, so the baby is hooked up to a breathing machine but otherwise is doing fine. Heidi is on life support, but as of this morning has shown some tiny improvements. Any improvement is a good one, so the family is very happy! She is still in very serious condition though, so please continue to pray for her and her newborn son. Sadly she doesn't even know she had him, because she was so heavily sedated. She needs to pull through so she can watch her precious little boy grow :)

Good Poem

I know this is my 3rd post today and it's still early, but I just read this forwarded email and I had to share it with everyone. I have no clue who wrote it...

The Best Poem In the World:

I was shocked, confused, bewildered as I entered Heaven's door, Not by the beauty of it all, Nor the lights or its decor. But it was the folks in Heaven, who made me sputter and gasp - The thieves, the liars, the sinners, the alcoholics and the trash.

There stood the kid from seventh grade, who swiped my lunch money twice.Next to him was my old neighbor, who never said anything nice. Herb, who I always thought, was rotting away in hell, Was sitting pretty on cloud nine, looking incredibly well.

I nudged Jesus, 'What's the deal?, I would love to hear Your take. How'd all these sinners get up here?, God must've made a mistake. 'And why's everyone so quiet, so somber - give me a clue.''Hush, child,' He said, 'they're all in shock, no one thought they'd be seeing you.' Judge Not!

Remember - just going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Every saint has a PAST... Every sinner has a FUTURE...

Closing ceremonies

Stansbury baseball had their closing ceremonies last night, and unfortunately as soon as I turned my camera on it died. Each tieam got to go out and get their trophy (or medal in the case of teeball). Dom was pretty proud of his medal, and informed his sisters they ARE NOT allowed to touch it! We were also given their team pictures, and they turned out way cute even though Dom's team only had 5 of the 10 kids show up :)

A family in need of prayers

I have a friend whose sister-in-law needs prayers. Her name is Heidi. She is 8 months pregnant, and was admitted to a hospital in Texas yesterday for pnuemonia. After being admitted they also found she has swine flu. Within a few hours she was struggling to breathe, and sadly her body is rejecting the oxygen they have tried giving her. She has become completely incoherent :( Obviously since she is having so many problems so is the baby. Last I was told they weren't sure whether or no Heidi is even going to live, so any of you that can pray for her and her unborn child their family would appreciate it immensely.

Busy as usual

We had a very busy weekend! Friday we got to just hang out at home (thank goodness!), but after that it was nothing but GO, GO, GO! Saturday we had my cousin Stephanie's wedding to go to at This Is The Place Heritage Park right across from Hogle Zoo. My parents left at 11 (we were leaving at 3), because they were suppose to go pick up my grandma in Ogden for it. Well I'm sure everyone knows about the scary wreck that happened on I80, so plans changed a little. My parents were caught in traffic for 3 1/2 hours!!! They barely made it in time for the ceremony. My dad told us maybe we should try going through Middle Canyon and over into Butterfield, so we didn't get stuck too. We did, and I will NEVER do that again!!! A lot of people decided to come back to Tooele that way, and since it is a narrow road it was way scary. We were on a cliff. I'm talking complete drop that looked like it never ended kind of cliff, and I am scared to death of heights so imagine having to drive our car as close to the edge as possible to fit another car by us. It didn't work out so well I wanted to puke I was so freaked out! We didn't make it in time for the ceremony unfortunately, but we did make it for the luncheon and pictures (even though most of my family...everyone but me and Tasia) somehow disappeared so they didn't have to get into the pictures. After that we headed to Anth's parents house in Sandy for a birthday party for his mom. The kids ate cake and ice cream and fresh strawberries out of their garden, and we just hung out at visited with everyone. We were all exhausted after our adventurous day, so we left about 10 and came home.

Sunday morning we got up and took the kids to my mom for church, and went to help my sister move for the millionth time lol She seriously moves more than anyone I know! She just barely moved into her place back in November, but it's $1200 a month for rent so she needed something less expensive. We had some issues with getting the right size of ball for our hitch that last took us about an hour to deal with, so by that time the kids were done with church and we had to take them with us to help move because my parents were taking their waverunners out to Willard Bay for a short trip. We had quite a few people to help move her, so it only took 2 loads but we got rained on the whole time. The kids were bored, but there wasn't much they could do. When we got to my sister's new place (it's only like 3 blocks away from her old one) the boys discovered her bed won't fit upstairs. She says she's going to have to get a new one, but she's sad because she loves her bed :( I am trying to convince her to sell her bed to us, because we needed one really bad! Oh and I love her bed too lol It's huge and it's really pretty.

So that was our exciting weekend. We were going pretty much nonstop as usual. Hopefully this week isn't nearly as busy!

:(

Sydney told me she hates me for the first time today. I couldn't believe it. I know every kid tells their parent that at some point in their life, but I really was shocked when she did. I cried. I didn't yell at her. I didn't even know what to say I just cried and told her she needed to go to her room. I remember when I was little if my mom hadn't yelled at me I wished she would, because that was so much better than seeing her hurt. I'm sure that's what Syd felt today, because she immediately apologized and said she was just mad and she really does love me. I called my mom and cried to her. She felt bad for me, but she said she remembers when I first told her I hated her too and how bad it sucked! Then when I called the kids for lunch Syd brought me a note that said..." To mom: I love you so, so much! I'm sorry I said I hated you! Love, Sydney" That made me feel a little better, but it's still something I'll never forget for as long as I live :(

Just kidding

Well we thought Tasia was all better, but apparently not! She started coughing again on Tuesday and with the way things got last time I wasn't taking any chance so I called first thing Wednesday morning and got her in. The dr sent me to the hospital for chest xrays which was loads of fun with 4 kids by myself! The lady at the front desk made Tasia put on a mask, and as she's doing this she tells me there are confirmed cases of swine flu in Tooele. Nice and sensitive of her don't you think?!?!?! Anyway...so we all crammed into the xray room while I stand there helplessly and watch them make Tasia stand in a bunch of different positions to do her xrays, and then we pack up and head around to the back of the building so her dr can look at the xrays. Well sure enough her lungs still show pnuemonia, but no it couldn't be something we can treat with antibiotics...it's viral. So we are back to doing breathing treatments and inhalers all day long. I called my mom freaking out wondering how the hell my kid can keep getting this. I scrub my house with bleach all the time to get rid of germs, because I am a freak about them. I also don't go many places, because I am home with 4 kids all day long and it's just not convenient! My mom told me it probably never went away completely, and with her immune system being down from having pnuemonia it may have flared back up. It's still frustrating! I guess I should look on the bright side and realize it's not as bad as it was in the first place, and also that it could be a lot worse. I really am grateful that she has managed to stay out of the hospital with all of this, because there were a few times I wasn't so sure that was going to be the case :(

Nothing much...

Things have settled down since Syd and Dom are done with softball, and although I love watching my kids play I am definitely ready for the quiet time at home! I am hoping I can get caught up on some housework. My house is picked up clean, but not my obsessive compulsively scrubbed clean lol It will be soon enough. I wish I could take a day off work and just focus on my house, but I doubt that'll happen. I'm sure it'll have to wait for Sunday for me to really be able to get down on my hands and knees and scrub every last inch! Saturday we have my cousin Stephanie's wedding at Heritage Park. I really have no clue what I'm going to wear, but I'll figure it out like I always do. I might have to break down and go buy me something...like that's so horrible huh!

Woohoo!!!

The Grantsville softball league had their end of the year party tonight along with their awards banquet. Every year they let the girls who played get in free at the swimming pool for the one day to play and have fun. Yes we froze, but it turned out to be a lot of fun! We all started to starve around 7, so we left to get pizza and come back for the awards. Anth wanted to go home, but I convinced him we had to be there just in case Syd's team won something. I am so glad we did, because they won 2nd place!!!! I am so proud of Syd and the rest of their team. Last year most of them were playing for their first year, and I think they only won maybe 1 or 2 games so to go from that to the 2nd place team in their division is awesome!!!

Scare of a lifetime!!!!

So after my post this morning I woke Syd up to get her ready for school, and we were talking about her nose hurting her. She asked me what the dr said about her getting nauseous, and I said she didn't say anything. Then she says "Mom everythings going black" I told her not to joke around like that, because that's scary and next thing I know she goes limp! She passed out!!! I caught her and set her on Tasia's potty training toilet, because it was right there and I was yelling for her to open her eyes. She did for a minute, but then they rolled back in her head again and she went out again. I picked her up and carried her to my bed, and she was so limp it was scary! I got her to come to again, but she was pale as a ghost and her pupils were huge. She kept telling me she was going to throw up and things were going black again. I made her keep talking to me while I tried to call my mom. She didn't answer, so I called the ER they didn't tell me anything. They couldn't even say that's normal with a head trauma or anything. I was so frustrated, and obviously freaking out. I finally got a hold of my mom, and she said to call my dr's office and get the number for the on call nurse. I do that and they didn't answer, so I left a message. While I am waiting my mom calls and says she's on her way here, so she can sit with Dom, Tasia and Boston so I can get Syd to the ER. At the ER the did an EKG and drew blood. After they drew blood Syd went white as a ghost again, got all clammy and nauseous. They said that is a normal reaction to the blood draw. All the tests checked out and she doesn't show any signs of brain trauma, so apparently it's just her reaction to the head trauma yesterday. They said to watch her, make her take it easy and if she starts acting confused and not like herself to bring her back in. It's so frustrating, because I just them to make her ok but there's nothing they can do. I never want to have to deal with her passing out like that again. I have NEVER been so scared in my life.! To top it all off the nurse from her dr's office never called me back either, so I am pissed off about that.

My poor Syd :(

I got a call from Syd's school yesterday about 10 minutes before school let out saying that Syd was hit in the nose :( They said she was covered in blood and that the bus won't let her on like that so someone needed to go get her. I packed up the kids (Dom, Tasia and Boston), and headed over. I didn't think much of it, but when I saw her I couldn't believe how much blood was on her clothes! She was covered all down her shirt and her shorts. The secretary said that she was clean compared to what she was. They said she had blood covering her face, all down her clothes, all down her legs and even on her shoes. Apparently she was walking around the school grounds and some kid wasn't paying attention while he was running and ran right into her, and his head hit her nose. Ouch huh! Anyway... Syd gets bloody noses easy, but never that bad so obviously I was a little worried. My mom told me I should call the dr and see if they thought maybe she should be seen. I did and yes they did, but they didn't have any appointments available so I had to go to the after hours. I wasn't too thrilled about that, because Syd's final softball game was suppose to be last night and she didn't want to miss it. Her nose being taken care of came first though. So we get there and things actually went pretty quick. She does have some whiplash from her head being thrown back during the hit. The dr said it's possible her nose has a break in it, but it's not a break that has caused her nose to go competely crooked. We are suppose to watch it and once the swelling goes down make sure it isn't even a little crooked. We also have to watch for any signs she's having a hard time breathing, or that she doesn't get a severe headache that won't go away. If either of those do happen we have to get her into her ENT. The dr also said she will be more prone to nosebleeds until it heals (which with her being prone to nosebleeds already should be loads of fun). Sure enough we come home (her game was cancelled because of our lovely weather last night) and Syd was in the shower no more than 5 minutes and she gets a nosebleed. We get it to stop, she jumps back in and less than a minute later she gets another one! I told her to shower as fast as she could, because they obviously were going to continue because of the hot water, then rinse off any blood that ran down her and we would get it to stop for good when she got out. I knew if she kept jumping out everytime it started up she'd never finish her shower. As of last night when she went to bed there were no other problems other than a headache that was starting to get better with the tylenol. Today is her last day of school, so I am keeping my fingers crossed she can make it through without any bloody noses!

All better!!!!

Dom and Tasia both had follow-up appointments this morning, and we finally got the word that they are all better!!! Tasia's lungs sound perfect. No wheezing or wetness in them anymore. I am so relieved! She said to continue breathing treatments just right before bed for the next 3-5 days, but after that we can put away the good old nebulizer and hopefully never have to pull it out again lol I'm sure never is probably pressing my luck, but at least not for a very long time!

Other than that not a whole lot going on any different. Syd and Dom have their last games this week (Syd's is tomorrow and Dom's is Thursday), and my life will return to somewhat normal. We will only have games once a week, so that'll be a lot easier than 4 times! I am going to start having Boston again tomorrow. I miss the little stinker! Chas says I might not miss her so much once I have her again, because she is teething but I've been through it 3 other times so I'm sure she'll be fine :)

Anthony and I have been talking more and more about when we are going to have our last one. He is back and forth as usual, but I may have convinced him to do it sooner rather than later. We want to (if we have a girl) give her the name my grandpa Tony always called me growing up, and I want him to know that's what we named her. My grandpa isn't getting any younger, so I told Anth we need to have our last baby soon so that my grandpa will still be around. He seems to agree, so we'll see if that sticks or if he changes his mind again. I'm definitely ready for our last one. I don't want him/her to be too far in age difference from Tasia!
