Busy, Busy, Busy!!!

These last 4 days or so Anthony and I have been doing nothing but cleaning. We have an inspection either tomorrow or Thursday, and I decided it would be a good time to do some "spring cleaning". We have cleaned our house from top to bottom I swear! We have shampooed carpets, cleaned blinds, cleaned out closets, cleaned the garage...you name it we have done it! I always go a little crazy at inspection time, because I want things to look perfect and even though I stress and worry we always end up with compliments on how well we keep things clean and orderly around here. I'm a worrier, so even remembering those comments doesn't make me relax any. In a day or 2 this whole thing will be done and over with, my house will be perfectly spotless (other than everyday pick up cleaning) and I can relax again. My life will be back to it's normal chaos without the added chaos of inspection time!

I was reading Hayley's blog, and she had mentioned that since she got her live feed on her page she has looked at it and always wondered who it is that happens to be looking at her posts. I have found myself wondering the same thing, and I agree with her if you stop by leave a comment! I don't care who you are. I would just love to know who is reading up on my fun family adventures. I would love to reconnect with friends from the past. I don't care if you don't think I will remember you or not I would still love to hear from everyone. I know a lot of mom's out there who "blogstalk" like I like to sometimes to read up about people who I knew from school back in the day, and it would be nice to hear from some of you once in a while! Shoot even if I didn't know you I'm always up for meeting new people :)

I'm a slacker!

Anthony and I have been married for a year and half now. As soon as I got our marriage license back I went and changed my last name on everything besides my social security number. It just seemed like there was never time to go sit in the social security office! It takes forever, and I try not to go to Salt Lake unless I absolutely have to. Plus I don't usually have anyone to watch the kids during the day. Well I have an appointment on Monday that I need my social security card for, and of course I can't find it ANYWHERE! I tore my house apart, my car and my purses. It's nowhere to be found. I told my mom that maybe it was a sign I should go into Salt Lake and sit there for hours and finally legally change my last name. So I got up and moving and left bright and early to get there a few minutes before they opened to try to keep myself from waiting too long. I pull into the parking garage 15 minutes early, and wait until 5 minutes to 9 to head to the door. When I get there I find out I am at the wrong building! Things were going way to smoothly, so I knew something had to go wrong. Luckily the new building is just up the road, but I walk in the door at 5 after and it's already packed! I ended up sitting there for almost 2 hours while some creepy old guy next to me reads my text messages over my shoulder just so I can go back and be there for less than 5 minutes. Oh well...in the end it's all worth it, because I am now legally a Quintana and I don't have to go through the whole spill with places anymore about how my ID has my married name but I haven't changed it with social security yet so with that it's still Busico.

All mom's know how I feel!

I swear before I had kids I was able to shower, bath or even go to the bathroom by myself but in the last 8 1/2 years I don't think I have been allowed! Take today for example, I am in soaking in a hot bath (I have had body aches), and I was in there less than a half an hour total and my kids all 3 came in at one point or another for some reason that could not wait. Tasia came in to show me she had put on her brother's Hulk boxer briefs, and then she wanted to use the cup and rinse my hair for me. Anth made her get out, and then Sydney came in because she needed to tattle on Dominic. Heaven forbid she tell the other parent who just so happened to be sitting in the living room watching football and doing nothing! As Sydney's standing there with the door open Tasia sneaks back in and wants to rinse my hair again! THEN...Dominic comes in and says he needs to fill up his cup of water-THERE ARE 2 OTHER SINKS IN OUR HOUSE!!! Anthony comes in AGAIN, and forces them all to get out. By this time I had given up on the thought of even a minute of relaxing and decided to get out. That is just from bathtime today! Things are obviously slightly crazy around here from day to day, but stuff like this is a normal occurence. Like I said though, I'm sure all you mom's know exactly what I mean. We don't get any privacy once our kids are born. I love my kids, but some days would love to be able to take a quiet shower or bath or even be able to go pee without someone pounding on the door needing me right that very second!!!

Our family

As most of you probably know we would like to add to our family sometime soon. Now obviously we have to wait until Anth gets a job (the company he was with went under, but we are still praying for Kennecott and will know one way or another on that soon). If Anth gets a job at Kennecott or somewhere else just as stable I'm sure we will catch up bills with taxes and start trying soon! The reason I even bring this up is because a lot of people have told me lately "it's time for another one". Of course there are a few who tell us we are nuts to even want anymore, but I don't think so. My older sister used to say we were nuts, but the other day she told me she feels like we have one more baby meant to come to us and I feel the same way! It's interesting though, because my whole life I only wanted 2 kids (1 girl and 1 boy). Tasia was a surprise, and since we had her I have always felt we are meant to have 1 more. I have been baby hungry for a long time already, but I just know deep down the time hasn't been right yet but when it is and as soon as we find out we are expecting we will be so happy to let the whole world know it!

Happy New Year Everyone!

Last night we had a fun, but low key New Years Eve. We had originally planned to stay home, but we had a little change of plans. We started by going to my parents house to eat a yummy but simple dinner. My mom made a ham, and we did ham sandwichs on rolls and chips and dip. Then we went to my grandpa's house, because he is determined that if it doesn't get done NOW my parents won't get his digital converter set up by February. It was very easy to do, and really he probably could've figured it out himself (anyone who can hook up a DVD player or VCR could do it), but we got it done for him and now he will be happy. Finally we headed over to my Aunt Patty's house. My cousin Monica and her family is out here from Alabama, and we haven't seen her since I was pregnant with Tasia! We sat around the kitchen table and talked and ate munchies. The kids ran around and played with Nintendo DS's and other toys. The girls were dancing to a fun little karaoke machine, and told us we couldn't take pictures (we tried anyway!). At midnight we watched the ball drop and all told each other Happy New Year, and headed out to do some fireworks with the kids. It was freezing, but it was fun and the kids loved it! We didn't stay long after that, because the kids were getting tired but all in all it was a fun, nice way to start the new year. I have lots of pics, but I will have to post them later, because I left the camera in the car and it is WAY too cold to go out and get it right now! Hope everyone else had a fun, memorable and safe new year too :)
